More than one of the same razor?
Not including those with 7day sets, does anyone have duplicates (or more) of the same razor? Not just brands, but the same model, size and point (different scales are ok).
I am curious about how (and why) that came about - spare in case one was damaged? good bargain? your name is Noah? shave with both hands simultaneously?

I can almost see having a second Dovo Special. I like the one I use regularly. I can get down to business with it quicker than I can with my other razors. Say something happened like dropping the blade or putting it out of commission accidentally, it might be nice to have a backup blade.

Thanked: 335I think it's akin to favorite foods or finding a good rut and staying in it. Do you like steak? Order it often when dining out? Grill it regularly at home? Me too. Peanut butter - have you eaten it more than once? See! It's that comfortable rut syndrome. It's the same with razors and, of course, back ups are necessary. Is your spare tire the same brand as the ones on your vehicle? Are they all four the same brand? There you go! The old comfortable rut routine.
You're welcome - anytime

I have two Red Injun 101's and another on the way. It wasn't intentional, it just kinda happened that way. The two I have now are similar, but not exactly the same. The blades are slightly different shapes.

I've had 4 of the C.V. Helje No. 31's, had to sell one because it was evil..long story. They are one of my best face shavers, since I've found the No. 32's I've been on the hunt, they are awesome head shavers. The one on the right came with damage scales via a batch with a M. JUNG 80 which I have two of also. I also have some wapi's, they are used to help enhance my honing skills.
I like to experiment but once I find something that works I pretty much stick with it.
Kind regards,

I bought two of the same razor when I started out (one was supposed to be in white horn the other black) reason was that I'd have one honed by someone with experience and one for myself to train on.
But as it is, it looks like I'll be trading the unused one for something else soon, and should that fall through I'll offer it up for naught but shipping on the bst I think.
But as said I wanted one to train on and possibly ruin and another which would be treated proper like.
But apparenty I'm not as terrible as I feared with the hones.

I have 4 Wapi's and three Sanguines. I like them so much, I'll use one and let the other rest.

Thanked: 1587Not really. I bought 4 SFK Wapis a while back, just because they were cheap. I've given away two of them. I also have several Bengalls, but they are all different in terms of size.
If there was a nice antique razor in good shape I'd probably pick it up even if I already had something similar. But I don't think I'd deliberately buy duplicates, especially of new razors. I like to know what's around the next corner too much.
