    Other than the moisture in the shaving lather my blades don't touch water (such as the sink or basin). I wipe off any lather with two squares of tissue paper, fold and store on the top shelf of my closet.

    OK -

    1. rinse and wipe;
    2. Blow between scales and around pivot pin;
    3. wave razor around in the air rapidly for a few seconds;
    4. leave them open on vanity to air dry for a half day or so;
    5. Put them back in their coffins;
    6. Put coffins in locked box (long story).

    Because I have a lot of razors in the rotation, there is only really one way to fit them all in the locked box and still get the lid closed. I won't go into the details, but it looks a little OCD.

    I chuck 'em into a drawer, wide open and dripping wet, let 'em rattle around until they get rusty and chipped, then take fuzzy pictures of 'em and sell 'em on e-bay as "near-mint, vintage razors."

    Seriously, I rinse with hot water, wipe, and let air dry all day on top of one of my mugs, then put them in a porcelain cup on the counter until next time. So far, I've been fortunate to have no problems with spotting or rust.

    I'm still trying to hone up some recent purchases, so any that didn't pass the shave test get set aside for more work. Any razors that "bite" me get receive a mild scolding before being put away.

    ROFL I thought I saw one of your razors......a wade and butcher with a blade that looked like it could be used for a hacksaw.
