WAPI goodness
I just had another smooth, irritation-free, perfectly BBS shave from a stamped wapi I got from Woj, and as I was putting the razor away with my others, wondered why bother spending money on more expensive straights.
That thought lasted a few minutes.
Seriously, for those who have not tried one, especially newbies looking for a good starter razor, you need to pick one up before there are all gone.

I have a couple of those stamped Wapis.
Been trying to get one to rust... completely submerge under soapy water and left it to drip dry a few times but it refuses to tarnish...
if i didn't know better i would swear the blade is stainless.
One hell-of-a-good shaver... worth every penny.

Those razors are truly a high quality fluke of the communist industrial system.
I've honed a couple, and all took an amazing edge.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I have both a stamped and a non-stamped Wapi. The qualiy of the razor and the resulting shaves are the same: excellent. The Wapis though made in Poland are said to be from Swedish surgical steel. The only drawback for me is the tang is a bit short for my fingers. Nontheless, the Wapis are regular in my rotation.
Of course, one does not need any more than 2 or 3 Wapis to have a straight shaving set but straight shaving is not about being practical for many of us.

Where did you order from? The usual sources (i.e. ebay through Stamps222, and Wojtec) don't have any more "buy now" stores set up?

I ordered mine on eBay from wojtec. Nice fellow and smooth transaction.
Of course I dropped the stock scales, they're too heavy. What you safe on a blade you can order a nice set of scales to put.

Fumny that, I have 4 stamped that I will be selling. I was going to make a seven day set but just can't get away from my other razors long enough. They all have these scales on them so they are lighter and feel more balanced than the steel they came with. PM me if interested. I have clear scales but over the last couple months I've noticed that they show scratches easily. Nothing significant, but these just look better longer.
Kind regards,

I like the Wapi scales. Those of you who don't know what to do with the wapi scales that you want to get rid of, please send them my way, I'll pay for postage.
