Thanks for all the reply's, this does give me a better understanding of what I am looking for. I have been using a straight for a couple of years now but as I mentioned just the one razor. I have been doing my own honing and stropping which was discouraging at first (still is sometimes) so I think I'll send it out to a honemeister and really see what a sharp razor feels like. I bought my Dovo new and thought it was shave ready (I was wrong) and thought why did I do this as I was getting a better shave from the old disposable. I then remembered that I did this to save money in the long run and I have until now, HA HA HA.
