I use different blades because I have different blades. I could easily drop it to one size(5/8), but I wouldn't limit myself to one grind. I love my quarter grinds as much as my hollows and wouldn't give up either one.

The first two options in the poll seem to be redundant. I HAVE a variety because I LIKE variety.

I have 14 razors in rotation at home and another 7 in my locker at the gym. They range from from 4/8 to 7/8 and all grinds.

Varity is the spice of life. I use a different razor each day and when I get board, sometimes two or more in one day. I started collecting a few months ago and I am trying to use each razor at least one and build several rotation groupings but the collection is growing faster than my need for a shave. It's really getting out of control or maybe it's been there for a while now. I enjoy the spice of each different razor. Each has it's own personality both in appearance and shaving characteristics and I am finding I like them all and I like the to experience the differences.

    Default ONE TYPE

I guess I am kind of the odd ball here on this thread
Although I have a rather large collection, I try and keep a 14 razor shaving rotation....
Every one I actually shave with, is a full hollow, every one is a spike point, the predominant size is 11/16, all but one is either German or American....
Yeah you could say I know exactly the razors that work for me the best, and target those to buy.....
Nothing against any of the other razors, but they have all never stayed in the shaving rotation very long for me..... I try quite a few, and they slide into the top drawer, but they seem to get bumped into the second drawer pretty fast......
Good thing they made so many different kinds!!!!!

I mostly stick with Sheffields, but there are so many types that I'd say I fall into the variety camp.

Currently I have 4 Dovo's and 1 Thiers-Issard in rotation now. 2 of the Dovo's are identical 6/8 Bismarcks which have become my favorites.I do like some variety but lean toward the larger blades.

I have a variety of razor types and grinds but I generally lean to my heavier metal. I have some vintage 1/4 hollow to wedge that I really enjoy shaving with. My current favorite is a 9/8 Greaves and Sons that I got from Traveler. It is on a par with the 7/8 Joseph Rogers that I also got from Traveler.
