Do you use a variety of razors or just one type?
I have a current rotation of 2 half hollows; a quarter hollow and 7 full hollows (2 singing). They vary in width from 4/8ths to 13/16ths. Almost half are round tips.
I get a different shaving experience every day and I look forward to that difference.
Seriphim's recent thread "A Hollow Apology" got me thinking about what you guys think about using a bunch of different razor type as opposed to one standard style even if that type is your favorite.

Some days I feel like a light 5/8 blade and some days I enjoy a big ol' wedge chopper. I enjoy having options

I almost never use the same razor on consecutive days. I use full hollows most, but I like mixing it up with wedgier grinds a couple days a week. I use all different points without giving it much thought, but I seldom grab the really big (13/16+) blades, which I find awkward.

Thanked: 1212The more I try figuring out what I like best in a razor, the more indecisive I get...
Is it possible to like them all?

I just have my rotation and use them as they come up. (except for the 2/8s that is). I have all sizes and grinds

I have a number of different razors, of different styles. About every couple of months I switch out razors, I usually have about ten in my rotation.

I've currently got six razors that are my shavers. I usually have seven, but I'm trying to find one that fits nicely into the last spot. I try not to have any two razors be too similar. As such, they vary in size and grind. But the only full hollow is my 7/8 Friodur; I'm just not a fan of the flex that smaller hollows seem to have.

Yah know, some days you feel like a wedge, an some days ya don't! I do like switching around though, that's half the fun of shaving right there!

I tried several grinds and widths and settled on 6/8ths quarter hollow blades as "my sweet spot". They just work for me. 4 of the 5 razors in my rotation are of that type. The other is a 6/8ths hollow.

Variety being the spice of life and shaving I have a lot of straights and use whichever strikes my fancy when the time comes. Full hollow to wedge and everything in between. I buy ebay razors with micro chipping and worse. I like to get them shave ready and use them as I do. I am honing my skills in more ways then one.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
