There was a version made a couple of years back for UK TV starring Ray Winstone as Todd. Far darker and intense than that Depp silliness! Anyway, the razor that Winstone used was more like a very large folding knife than a modern SR - no trigger (that I remember seeing) very deep blade and dead straight - maybe a 4-inch or so blade. The shaving scenes were convincing and the throat-slitting quite horribly real-looking - especially at the end when he 'topped' himself!

Thanked: 12Step 1, purchase this:
Amazon.com: Sweeney Todd: Razor Prop Replica: Toys & Games
Step 2, find a donor blade of appropriate size/shape persuasion, or alternatively get a custom maker to make a donor blade, I personally think Joe Chandler could put together a blade out of CPM154CM stainless that would look better than the real thing, and be the right shape
Step 3, get skilled member/maker to couple step 1 + step 2 into functional razor
Step 4, ??
Step 5, profit

Hi this is the one from GlobalGear.
Open length of 10.5"
Closed length of 5.5"
Stainless Steel
On closer inspection if you could get a good
edge on it, it could give a good shave.
More info and a pic at:

Thanked: 0Replicas
The replica's dont look like they have the same blade. If you look at the one in the picture below from the movie, the back of the blade is a lot thicker with a backing on it. All the replicas look like just one piece and a pretty much flat blade.
And the replica (best one I've seen so far from Global Gear:

About the sweeney replica
A little about the replica. First off there are 2 different versions of the peice. I picked up the one that is identical too the picture. The other looks noticibly different. The blade is 1045 surgical steel. the edge lenght is 4 1/2". Heel to tang is 2 3/8". total blade lenght is6 7/8".The blade is probably1/8 hollow ground. Can you make it shavable? Yes if you put some heavy work into it.I have a thread in the resto section along with a ****ty pic. The handle is all metal with no spacer in the end of the handle. There seems to be a sillouete of a woman in it.I don't know the total weight ( no scale )1/2 to 3/4 lb. To shave with this blade is trickey because of the weight, bit once you get used to it, the shave is pretty ok.
