I love the total lack of pretence of this blade, no fancy scales, this one doesn't even have any markings on the blade but it's a million times better than the self honed Kropp (my learning curve razor) and (I hate to say it because it was a gift) the TI.

Soaked up for a bit longer this time, water was still probably not hot enough but I was getting drenched from the soaked T shirt wrapped round my head.

The more wedge like blade trundled though my beard with little effort, not as little effort as I would like but I can see that confidence and technique can make a massive difference to the shave and loss of red cells.

Big thumbs up to Theinvisibleedge for fast postage and a quality bit of kit.
Stick with the honing of the Kropp. They give a great shave when they're "tuned in".

Had a honefest last night and found that the Wapi has a slight bend in it.

Are there ANY straight razors out there?

Yorkshireman, the chap I leant the Kropp to (Almax), has noted that the Kropp has trouble holding an edge, can you shed any light in this at all? It's a lovely blade, but no good if it needs stropping every 5 mins while your face goes cold.

Wapi fans will probably excommunicate me for this, but I removed the blade from the scales, moved it up in the scales about an inch, then epoxied it back in place. I now have a fixed blade Wapi and it's all the better for it. I just wasn't getting on with the whole moving scales thing. Still a long way to go before I get a shave that doesn't sound like someone de-scaling a fish though.
