I have both the B&B LE 1/4 hollow LeGrelot and the TI Silverwing from Rasurpur.de and both are quite good shavers. I had Joel over at B&B hone the LeGrelot and I am glad I did because these were reportedly a pain in the arse to hone....and Martin over at Rasurpur.de honed my Silverwing.

To me, both razors were shave ready, but I used the CrO on my pasted strop and the newspaper stropping trick to really dial both of them in...after that, they shave great....and about equal. As for my preference, I really like the LeGrelot since it is bigger and thicker. But if you like a 5/8 full hollow, the Silverwing is a must have....but it is expensive...so be warned.

    + 1: I have both too.

It is hard to compare the Le Grelot to the TI's with the new steel, since the latter are not (yet) available in larger sizes. Compared to a similarly sized and weighted (which are the reasons why most prefer the LG) full hollow TI like a 7/8 or a heavybacked 6/8 in older steel, I like the full hollows better. But just ever so slightly.

I recently picked up a 6/8's NOS Grelot full hollow from Edwin Jagger for under a $100 and it a fantastic shaver.
Sorry to be slightly off thread. RAD alert! I have the B&B LeGrelot and it is a wonderful razor, in fact I bought another but what about this Edwin Jagger 6/8 NOS. How is the quality of the steel? I probably want one to have a travel razor. Help!

We'll tell the missus and she'll curb your spending on razors.

It's a fantastic razor. It's hones easily and shaves well as well as being massive and well balanced. It glides through my dense beard.
LGs of this vintage are said to be of fine Swedish steel.
