I would bet its the standard demand / supply connection. Straight razor shaving is becoming "in" again. The demand is rising faster than the supply, ergo the prices are rising....
BTW I just ordered a 7/8 Spanish point directly from Böker in Germany.
BAD case of RAD.

Interesting... You can still order boker straight razors from Germany? How does one go about that?

As far as I am aware Dovo do not list any razor above 6/8 in their catalogue .

I have also noticed that my local antique store has less and less of them
and they are getting more and more expensive.
