    This thread has some info, but no pictures, about C. Friedr Ern.

    ERN Solingen Navy Knife - British Blades :: Custom Knife Making


    Seems as though C. Friedr Ern had a lot of marks. I guess this is one of them.

    I found the following on Wikipedia: "The White-tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla[2]), also known as the Sea Eagle, Erne (sometimes Ern), or White-tailed Sea-eagle is a large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae which includes other raptors such as hawks, kites and harriers."

    It makes sense for the eagle to be the symbol of the ERN companies.
