    found this on ebay this morning i was wanting to get some opinions from some more expierenced members before i bid thanks

    Koken, St. Louis, MO Army and Navy Straight Razor - eBay (item 270315629743 end time Dec-16-08 18:15:20 PST)

    Looks pretty good.I meen this company stopped production in 1923, so its pretty old.Doesn't look like it has any serious rust or uneven honing wear.I say go for it.Its not like you risk losing a fortune

    thanks i was wanting to start adding some antiques to my collection as of right now i only have one razor and its a new dovo thanks for the history of the companyi put a small bid on it maybe ill win

    Koken steel:

    I still regret selling my last Koken razor they are super smooth shavers and very high quality steel.... That one looks to be in good shape blade wise...

    It has some black spots (rust?) on the bevel and possibly a slight frown. Will need some work IMHO.

    i dont plan too bid too much money on it it may make a good project for a novice restore i am going to head to an antique store today to see if they have anything and one of my church members says he has some old str8s he is going to give me he said he switched to saftey razors in the 1950's so im sure ill be getting some antiques ill post pics of them when he gives them to me
