I was fired from a job when I was 18 because a buddy of mine etched a marijuana leaf into one of my bic lighters. I never thought much about it, and it fell out of my pocket one day. Bam, fired.

Thanked: 84Mmmm! worring to know that Europe doesn't have a monopoly on fascists. If your employer was that much of an arse to sack you for an image, your better off without them. Who the hell would want to work for a dickhead like that, we got rid of people that straight in the UK in the 1950's.

I find amusing, it's just a leaf, I don't condone the use of Marijuana, but I do think it's a neat looking plant. I do like and grow many types of plants, especially Hot Peppers, I'm working on some Bhut Jolokia's right now, if you don't know, there around 1,000,000 scoviles on the heat scale. About 4x hotter than a Habenero. Anyway, I can't imagine the pic of a pot leaf is illegal. It's been condemed in the United States, I don't know why because it's not as bad as Alcohol. It's legal in the UK, Amsterdam and I thought some parts of Canada. It's great for Cancer patients. If the US legalized it, we could be out of debt. They're certainly not going to be able to prevent it from getting into the county. Just my opinion.

It's not legal in the U.K. It was downgraded a while ago in our classification system, but they are planning to restore it's previous classification in 2009.
From the U.K. Home Office website:
"The proposed changes would mean that - once the drug is reclassified - those caught with cannabis could still get a cannabis warning on a first offence, but on a second offence they are likely face a fine of £80. If caught a third time they could be arrested."
"The maximum penalty was reduced from five years to two years imprisonment in 2004, but it will return to five years if Parliament approves the reclassification to Class B."
I don't even think it's completely legal in Amsterdam. They just don't enforce anything.
