oh no not a zeepk you cant go wrong in the classifieds, if it says shave ready it will be. consider getting a starter kit it has everything your zjunk kit had except it actually does what it is supposed to do. dubl ducks are great razors like cotdt said but you can start out with a lot cheaper razor that will shave just as good

I would talk to Kenrup he has some decent starter razors. you don't have to have a hone just yet. most of the honemiesters here will throw in a free rehone if a new guy messes up his edge on the strop, so just get a good prehoned razor and get use to maintaing the edge on a strop then you may want to pick up a good barbers hone to maintain the edge. then Read Everything you can on taking care and proper honing technic at that point you might concider aset of hones.

If you check the wiki, The Zeepk, it's one of the razors to avoid....

Hey thanks for the info guys. For now I'm going to stick with my Fromm. I'm moving into a new place, (packing up today actually) so hopefully in a month I'll have a little more time to check stuff out and pick up a razor off the classifieds. There are a couple old school barber shops where I'm moving too. I'm going to talk to some of those guys and see if they want to sell a hone or offer some pointers.

    Thanks for the tips.

the only hone you really need is the DMT D8EE for bevel-setting (diamond cuts very fast and yet fine-grained) and the Chinese 12k for the sharpening. Then finish on chromium oxide.

Yes, I mentioned that if the bevel is already set, all you will ever need is a pasted strop. A hone is only necessary for setting the bevel. Feel free to disagree but this has been my experience. And I'm flattered that you've been following me around and keeping track of all of my posts.
