Only One Keeper
George Wostenholm IXL 6/8 1/4 hollow India Steel. It only gets better as I improve my maintenance and shaving techniques. It responds well and looks meaner by the day. Even the bugs loved it! IXL forever! Robert

A sheffield quarter hollow from Victoria's reign. Around 6/8 I suppose with Stag, ivory, or mammoth ivory/dentin scales.

The problem with having RAD is that this question is almost impossible to answer. I would have to pick a straight that I already shaved with because my choice would have to be based on my experience and not someone else's opinion. It would also have to have some sentimental feeling behind it like a Father's day present or Christmas present or out perform all of those by a mile. I would also like for it to be used by the person I would be leaving it to.
I shave with every razor I own that can be made shave worthy (all but maybe three) and enjoy the shave with each and every one of them. Of course on some days one more than another, but that changes daily with what I had for breakfast and the exact position of the planets and stars.
So, using the constraints I noted above with the choice of only one I would pick my 7/8's 3/4 hollow Fridour square point. If I were to consider my son's choice on the matter it may be be the same or different but I do know for sure it would be as difficult for him to chose as it is for me. Ask me again tomorrow and my answer will probably be different.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
