Thanked: 27Ducks also seem to come with different blades with the same model number. I have 2 Goldedges, one is 7/8 rounded and another is 6/8 spike point blade.
Also, don't forget the Beau Brummels.

Well, shoot... With how complicated this has gotten (and make no mistake.. I *do* appreciate all the info!), and the current price of ducks on the bay, I think I'll spend what little cash I have on HAD for now.

I don't think ther is a number 4; however there is a stainless on. Lifetime and Beau Brummel were just other brands that they made. These are ranked in order of appearance as there is NO difference in the steel used to make the razors. This information came from Pearlman himself.

Thanked: 13249John, IIRC this all came from an e-bay seller making some pretty wild claims, I believe you should state that in your posts, I could go all the way back to the original threads and and find all this info again....
No disrespect meant but what yer saying needs proof, something more than an un-substantiated e-bay seller saying these things....

I'm sure I'd be unable to find the thread if I tried, since it was in the old BST, but I was previously told that the No 1, Satin, and Gold blades were made from the same steel while the Wonderedge was different. I'm not sure about the others.
Also, as Thebigspendur mentioned, the steels also changed over time.
