whats the oil used by lynn to preserve the blades?
i remember in his dvd he discusses using a certain type of oil to preserve the blades for longtime storage, i cant find my copy of the dvd...anyone could help me?
also ....now that you are at it....good place to buy it?

I'm guessing it may be "Tuf-Glide". A lot of people also just use mineral oil.

How about camelia oil? I believe you can get that in Japaneese Sword shops. Best bet would probably be to contact OLD SCHOOL. Shou will be able to tell you for sure! Good luck

not from the vid, but here, Lyn says he uses camilliia. OS has correctly pointed out that most of the Cam online for tool use etc is diluted with mineral oil. A good sword collector would tell you to ask your pharmacist to get you some thin mineral oil as the stuff on the shelf is too thick. As well a tool seller will tell you the available camillia is too thick thus it is thinned with mineral oil. Mineral oil is a product of petroloeum distallation thus could not be a component of traditional sword preservation so back in the day .......
any good machine oil will work. That is not wd40, but three in 1 and rennwax will work, gun oil, etc as well
