Worst thing you can do is set up a ebay acount! Then its all down hill from there. I still havent reached the bottom! What I hate is when its so good you have to bid on it.Then your almost relived if you loose then you feel like you tried anyway! There should be a rehab for this stuff!

I just want to try it. And I already have one that needs honed and two more coming. Got 2 jars of TGQ creams and a TGQ soap. And I haven't even used a straight yet! But, I have gotten the best shave ever with my Schmuck3/5 and a Gillette DE I have.

Thanked: 151I understand
At least you are stopping at razors. I have bought a scroll saw, invested in some exotic woods, bribed a professional hobby furniture restorer and spent probably $1000 om tools, sandpaper, and materials for restoring these things. My next purchase is going to be a band saw. The only problem I have is that if I hit the lotto, I would stay in med school and graduate to restoring razors. As dumb as it sounds, I would rather restore these than watch a movie in the theatre. I feel its a productive way to spend time and believe it or not, I want to do surgery, and I have noticed that when I look at things now, I can see finer details than I could before I got into this.
So keep up the addiction. I have about 25 razors to restore and sell then I am going to buy more. I just wish these guys would stay off ebay so I could win more!

I hear you there. I like to set way too many snipes on a Friday and then spend the weekend realizing how much it would suck to win all of them. Then I am kind of relieved to not win any of them. My strategy now is to set the snipes much lower than I would actually pay, that way if I win them all I feel like I got an amazing deal.
I got lazy the other day and waited on a BIN because I wanted to save a few dollars by just sniping it. Well someone else snatched it and today I saw Glen post a pic of it, he got the deal there and I kicked myself very hard.

Extra Razors?
Part of my problem is reading posts from Members about their greatest razors. Whenever I read of that "perfect" razor-I must have one like it. Right now I own 7 1/2 razors (scale job underway on one). I rotate them by alphabet from: Baurmann to Wostenholm. It works for me. Bring 'em on! Robert
