Thread: Why do I keep looking?

I have about ten razors.

I love them all.

I can use only one at a time, and shave every other day.




Why do I find myself constantly looking for new razors??????

It's not the acquiring bit that bothers me... it's picking out the lineup for the week.

Because you can... ;-) Really, it may be because of the never ending quest for the perfect shave.

Please PM me when you have answered that question because I have asked myself it for some time now. I chalk it up to not being able to resist a good deal. I'm on ebay as I write this looking for "deals".

Yes, good deals are the killer....sometimes I'm tempted to look on ebay but don't for fear of some kind of AD (i.e. RAD or HAD) taking control of my hand and FORCING me to bid on something....It's happened on a number of occassions. I've thought about getting a prescription for it, but realized the only prescription for a disease this bad is more money!

They're beautful things. Each one feels different, both in your hand & when shaving. They have different balance, blade shape, scale material, shape & size. The metal each is made from & it's forging affects the sound & feel as they perform. The grind does the same, & countless other factors. We must try them all till we know what we want from our perfect razor. Only then can we entrust the skilled craftman to build the razor that combines all of these in one beautiful & perfect razor. Then, when we think of something else that would be cool, he can build us another!

Sorry, I don't know of any cure for this disease..

There is no rhyme or reason to explain any acquisition disorder be it razors, watches, paperweights, cars or a thousand and one other things.
