Onimaru55-The heal mod is due to a large chip that was in the blade. I had to get very aggressive with the blade to make it looke half way decent. I just couldnt let Gramps razor go. Family history and all.
Claytor- the g10 comes that way. All you do is sand to reveal the next layer of color. Lots of sanding. This stuff is a bit difficult to work with. I have found that a dremel sanding drum works well for the rough shaping of the scales.

I've had to mod a couple of chips in the past myself. Still plenty of razor to shave with & you've got a keepsake.
I actually like a shorter bladeThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 101I modded a Frederick Reynolds like that. It is one of my best shavers. It is also probably about 130 years old.
