Right now it is not very sharp but it seems to be in fair condition. There are a few nicks in the edge but all in all I think it's in good shape. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Can you post a pic? Thank you.

The Keen Kutter is made in the US, the ones with Germany on them are imported blades due to demand. There is also a german brand named Keene Cut. BTW.

I have one with "blue steel" on the blade, and its a good shaver. But I'm biased since I'm a sucker for american razors from that time.

That straightens things up a lot. I thougt all were imported blades. This one had no German markings at all.

    Thanks!

I've been looking around for these, bought 3 off E-Bay the last couple of days, (got snipped on 2 of them.) or I would have had 5 of the guys. Yea, there are pretty inexpensive (all under $30.00 a piece). I also bought a nice Franz Swaty Wahring bei WIEN Austria (3 LINE) Barbers Hone. Its in very good condition. It's been a good week so far.

I have been collecting Keen Kutter for some time.
The earlier razors were US made. When demand went, up it was cheaper to get hollow ground razors from Germany, since they had the machines to grind them. But this is hear say since I have not seen anything for sure. Just old time collectors passing on information. No dates on when it took place. Have several, all good shavers.
I have two Keen Kutter real mowers, look the same, one made in the USA, the other assembled in USA. ??
