I have recently stumbled upon an old Charlescraft Solingen No.501 5/8 silver steel blade from germany which belonged to my grandfather. It definitely shows it's years from the lite rust stains on the blade all the way to the tattered case. It has a beautifuly detailed handle with some sort of nature scene on it, but is negated by the giant chip in the blade. I have included photos, although I am no photographer..
I am wondering if anyone could tell me if it is at all possible to restore the blade and possibly make it functional again? I would appreciate any input. Even a little more information on the razor would be wonderful!
