It is certainly different. I have never gotten that: oowow best shave ever! They are a bit of a pain in the ass too. But if I had to sell out one, would be next to last in the yard sale.
when I first started I tried to learn both hands but it quickly fell out of the regime
I'm a dominant right hand shaver anyway. I can get a pretty clean shave one hand/one side.
Quite often though there are some moves that are not worth the bother.(not everyday is a good practice day)
As often as not turning the face and increasing the angle does wonders on fine touch up when the front facing grip lacks dexterity(practice)
Far from mastery am I, but I do believe the practice as made me a better shaver with regular razors too.
If you want something really different, and challenging get one.
