Thanked: 298Hi Gallinazorey,
PM sent!
There was no prior experience shaving with Japanese razors, this is the first! Was no problem with it, was easy to use for me. I am very pleased with it!

Thanked: 5You can get a good Japanese razor from Japan's Yahoo auctions. The only problem is that they won't ship out of the country so you must use a bidding proxy service, or know someone there.
Try looking here: Yahoo!オークション and searching for the japanese word for razor in Kanji I believe: 剃刀
It will bring up plenty of other things, but just look at the pictures and realize that 100 Japanese Yen is about $1 USD. From there you can find a pretty decent deal on new razors ($150-200 ish) and steals on old razors to restore. Prices are higher for new razors than they used to be, but this reflects supply and demand, I believe supply has dropped for them and demand has been pretty constantly low.
This is the way I got 2 Tosuke razors, it was a lot of headache and extra money, but I bought right before the prices rose so I'm happy and it turned out to be worth it. Right now I would probably buy a number of old razors to fix up.
Hope this helps,
Andre

Thanked: 5Also you can use Google Translate to see what the page says for shipping and time left on the auction and such, but in general the description you're best off just looking at the pictures.
