Thanked: 156I agree with the light colored scales.
Wow, love the Tamarind, probably more than the razor is worth to me, but I'll check it out.

You said creative, right?
I think Butch (LHarner) will sell some of his Micarta. I am planning on sending 2 razors out for restore with scales made of each of these Micartas

Thanked: 25I was going to say either some micarta, carbon fiber, or some acyrlic. I am also very impartial to the different shell scales whether it be abalone, paua or mop...its a tough choice though.

aonther cool thing you can do with platics now is dye.
im into frisby discs as well, and there are some awesome custom dyers out there
a crazy pattern like these would look totally unique running across a razor handle
you can get really intricate with some of these new dyes
that way you could keep the original scales, even the solingemn logo probably, and not effect balance or anythign elseLast edited by The0ctopus; 05-06-2009 at 03:37 AM.

Yep they are Harner Knives from his gallery. I have no idea what he has been up to in the way of knives.
I am saving up to ask him for a one-piece wood handled straight.
Leighton, have you considered 1 piece scales? here's one from Harner knives that I really like and would think might be nice on your blade:

I think I spend too much time drooling over the knives/razors on his sight? At least it hasn't cost me more money (yet).

if you dont want to get too extravagant, try a local airbrush shop, they could probably do something really cool if you can get the pins/blade off
i think it would be cool to paint it like something its not... like a big claw or something crazy like thatLast edited by The0ctopus; 05-06-2009 at 11:16 PM.
