I have 5 in my rotation, and about another 10 waiting for restoration/honing etc.
But I'm sure the number will rise (hey, don't tell to my wife).
BTW. a possible way to "maintain" your RAD (I'm trying to do this): Buy only a certain amount of razors every month. But don't rise this number by every month...

I've been diligently reserved in my purchasing of straights. At the moment I only have about 9. Three of those are my daily shavers.

22 I believe. I try to keep it spread between grinds and razors from Germany, Italy, Sweden, France, England, and the US.
4 are awaiting attention and one of those, a Grim Reaper, will go out for a restore at some point.
I pick up a new one now and then where I see something that really strikes me or I've wanted to try, or if I come across a nice Waterville.

Thanked: 433I have about 15, with 7 as my goto razors. The rest need help or restoration.

Thanked: 1587I have too many for an ordinary individual. But I figure I take the number an ordinary individual needs, multiply it by 7 for each day of the week, multiply that by 2 for my face and head, multiply that by 30 for each day of the month, then multiply that by the Jimbo expansion factor constant of 1.56342.
Then, I take that figure and multiply it by the "probability of divorce if the wife ever found out" function (which is a function of several things: the number of razors, wife's propensity toward violence,....), and there you have it!
You guys complicate things too much.

I think I have around 50 or so, all shave ready. I don't get rid of anything. I normally have anywhere from 7-9 in rotation. I keep a few barber hones near by, which keeps the edge in great shape, I don't need to hone that often. I think those Baber hones, especially the Swaty are wonderful...
