I'm still relatively new - only been at this for about 15 weeks and with RAD for 12 weeks. 32 in house and 14 on the way. Of the 32 in the house already:

    7 in rotation
3 just too damned nice to even bring myself to strop yet
8 awaiting the 12K stone to arrive before final stop (shipped today)
4 waiting for me to send Max an email to get tweaked out
9 are OK but will be parts
1 is my resto-practice razor - beyond salvage due to my experiments

Of the 14 on the way it looks like 2 won't see a strop for a while - too pretty. 2 will go into rotation immediately (if Dorko is that nice of a shave), and the rest we'll just have to see about when they get here - some were real bay bargains and about half the time there's an unseen reason for it!

Also looking hard a 4 more out there. 2 on the bay, 1 from a member here, and another I'm hearing about from a friend. Going to try and stay away from the bay for a few months - the stuff there will be recycled by about then so I won't miss much.

    Default How many?

Too many! If one were to use all his fingers and toes and then use all the spaces in between those digits and do that a coupla times, this one would still have a few uncounted. Fie on ebay, fie.

I'm thinking of forming a support group: RR, Razors Ridiculous, and I think we may have something like a 10 step pyramid.

A support group for RAD sufferers? I think I need to be a member of this group.

Three in the jar by the sink. I have about 3 more I don't use in the bedroom closet. I usually hand one out everytime I teach someone how to hone. I never got RAD. I'm still using creams from my original purchase of a variety of creams in 2003.

As many already know, I purchase one, and only one, new razor every year for my birthday.

I've got a drawer full after only being into this for a few months. Guess I got hooked? Thanks guys. Hope my wife doesn't look in that drawer too often...... I can only use the line about the 7 day set so many times....

I feel rather eccentric after reading this - I have around 200, and have started to give them away to deserving straight razor friends as I know I can't justify holding onto all of them.

I began straight shaving since last november. Got a bad case of RAD and have twenty razors-with a wostenholm pipe and a henckels coming this week.

I really have enjoyed shaving with different types of razors and initially my preferences changed with the wind.

Now i prefer 5/8ths to 11/16 full hollows.

After this week any new blades purchased means one has to go (I hope)

this may prove difficult as i like the aesthetics of the blades not currently in rotation.

Upwards of 400.....lol.....probably half of those need some kind of work done, either honing or scales or just a good cleaning.....
