SRP Custom Razor?
I gotta admit, that razor at the top of the page on the SRP logo looks pretty damn cool! Has anyone ever thought about, or actually tried to create a real life replica?

Sounds like an idea whose time has come. We need some enterprising soul to organize a group buy. I'm sure the membership could all agree on grind, scale material and size. Seriously ..... a group buy would be cool if we could get it at a reasonable cost. Where is Josh Earl now that we need him ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yeah, let's just go ahead and get that wrapped up by lunch. While we're at it, let's get these razors produced today, and shipped out so we can all discuss our first shaves by the weekend!
With this group, we'll argue about the STEEL to be used for three months!
I mean, it's obvious that 1/2 hollow san mai steel 8/8, with mastadon ivory is the ONLY way to go.
As payment for me clearing that up, I'll take Serial #1, ok....Lynn can have #001, I'll take #002.

Thanked: 953The first time I saw that I thought "very cool"
Then I thought "that would be a real mother to hone"
We could call it the SRP LE Divorce Memorial razor, because if I bought one my wife would divorce me!

Thanked: 335Didn't we have a group buy a while ago where a lucky few could get in on a special purchase 7/8 Mastro Livi with Olivewood scales? As it turned out the razor was a husky 8/8+ with Massivewood (OK big Olivewood) scales. In my opinion the razor is too big to use, but that's a personal problem as there are some who love huge blades.
At any rate, if there it to be another group buy, make sure that all the specs are made up front and that the maker needs to know what tolerances there are from those specifications and all, maker and buyer alike, are aware of both these requirements and flexibilities ahead of purchase.

There was the TI SRP customs quite a while ago i say we make another custom. If we are creating a group buy i am in. We could have some user generated concepts.
