I think the point may be that it's somewhat in bad taste. A bit like asking or telling what your yearly income might be.
SharpShave that is one nice start! I see you like the more artistically designed scales. I'm with you there. Nothing like a pretty razor that gives a great smooth shave! Congrats on your latest acquisition!Last edited by AirColorado; 05-22-2009 at 12:11 PM.

I completely disagree, for someone like me who is new at this pricing is very important information.
For instance, had I know been reading and seeing some pricing information, I would have never known the people at the gun show were rediculously overpriced.
If you don't want to say that you paid x for something new, that I can understand.

I can understand what you mean by not mentioning price on what I have bought in my collection I just started, I will tone down the insanity!
I was trying to get some input on the Sheffield IXL w/ivory scales that I know nothing about, then everybody was sidetracked by my razor collection. I mentioned the prices cuz I was happy about my finds. People shouldn't have to pay hundreds of for these razor's anyways! Thanks for all the input guys!Last edited by sharpshavefun007; 05-22-2009 at 04:56 PM.

Those awesomely clean looking and high quality razors would look well in a display box or 7 day presentation case. If you had a green one, it would match my envy!

That Geo Wostenholm is GORGEOUS! As a bit of information, the "IXL" is actually a bit humorous. Others that have bought them also didn't understand the lettering, either. It's supposed to be read aloud. For instance: "IXL" read aloud says, "I Excel." Senior members can correct me if I'm wrong, though. Seriously, that is one hell of a steal. $100 for those razors is WELL worth your money. Love those dark-green translucent scales. Gorgeous!

You can call yourself a newbie but your taste in razors shows no inexperience.
