If there is something like SFK in a triangle, it is a Wapi for sure.

If not, it's still a good chance for it, that it's a Wapi, or maybe a German Aesculap (that is a microtom knife, with an assymetric blade - I mean the cross-section is assymetric).

    It looks like a NOS.

Have You tried to strop it? - I bought a NOS Wapi, stropped it on a CrO paste strop, then on leather, and it shaves well.

ive just got a wapi but wots ment by assymetric blade and has any one got a translation for the papers

I can translate it since Polish is my mother tongue, only that I don't have the papers.

The one I started the thread with was sold as new (pretty strange, looking at it), so maybe it will come with them, but I don't actually count on it.

Maybe someone can provide me with some scans of them?

As in, is there an identically beveled angle on both sides of the blade, or is one side flat, or angled differently. If both sides are angled the same, you have a symetrical blade, if not... It's asymetrical

Ok mine is angled bothe sides, it almost looks wedge like, so its symetrical. It also shows no signs of being honed
The tip tapers to nothing and on the hanging hair test the hair won

Don't despair. Send it to someone who knows what they're doing and it'll split those hairs like they're not there (mine does anyway, lovely razors) .

rotflmao, this is great, ffs :] I mean the language used, it is really oldschool I will mark parts with numbers in brackets like (1), (2) and so on.

Okay, there it goes, as closely as possible:

"(1) A couple of advice for the ones buying shaving razors (2) <it seems to me that some part is skipped> which is a guarantee of its high quality of use (3) The razors of our manufacture are made of high quality steel using the most advanced technology. (4) Every piece <it definitely should say "kazda sztuka", it seems that your papers are somewhat incomplete> has undergone careful quality control, so there is no possibilty of a faulty razor sold. The buyer will get complete satisfaction provided the proper handling is assured. (5) The razor should be stropped on a leather strop prior to each use. Stropping should be carried out in a following fashion:"
