Thanked: 402This is such a crazy idea that I have to try it, too.

Rum, you may also want to invest in something called tuf-glide, its used for gun maintenance here, so I dont know where you could find it there. Once the blade is cleaned use the tuf-glide to seal the metal.

Don't know if it will work but I might try this myself. My wise old Grandmother use to use Tooth paste to polish Silver, Jewelry, and other things. It does fine abrasives for removing stains from enamel. I like the MAAS but I need to try it just to see

i don't know about the potatos - they are certainly one way to develop patina on steel, not to get rid of one.
i think pretty much any metal polish should work, the ones for a specific metals like copper may be less effective or even ineffective, but the general type should work fine.
i seem to remember threads from UK guys on products they've found there that work, so a bit of a searching the old threads may turn few things.

Use one of this pilishig pastes and you will be fine. I personally really like Hatho, German one.

Please, before you try the potato thing do it on a junk razor first. Plants have all kinds of chemicals in them. It may very well work but I wouldn't use it on a primo razor initially.

I totally agree with the most recent post above... I'm not going to try the potato method in my right mind. This Puma cost me way over $200 a few years ago. She's an absolute beauty and shaves like anything. I can't risk anything with this razor. The risk factor is too.

Thanked: 90Lepeords and jaguars have spots, but not Pumas to my knowledge. They are closely related, though.
That's not what you meant?
