I too am actively looking for a Spanish American War Clauss USMC razor. I have the WWI razor and it IS an excellent shave. I guess I'll have to start watching the estate sales.

I have since joined in the pursuit for a USMC Clauss. I worked with a guy at my last station who would bring in his razors and had the Clauss.
I think that really stuck with me because here I am in the early stages of SRAD.. Thank you all above for passing your knowledge down.. This is a great place for us FNG's to get some good gouge.

For anyone out there looking to send one to a good home please let me know.

And I can remember way back when these weren't very expensive - yesterday morning. Hope we all find one! +1 on no X-Marines. Once, always! Now, get away from that scuttlebutt and start policing the area, and remember "I'm your mama now".

Ebay is still the best source for those looking. I've personally owned several and am still looking for more.

I have one Spanish-American in my personal display and two WWI razors. As soon as I can obtain another SAW I'll be donating one of each to the military display at my local museum.

    So good hunting! Semper-Fi

I have seen a picture in Time. It was a Marine with his issue displayed on a poncho with the cost of each item. Low and behold there was a straight razor there with the cost in a caption. So I would believe an Asiatic Marine wouldve had 1 definitely and at the beginning of the war the Marine Corps was lucky it could field 1 or 2 Divisions because of the cutbacks of the Great Depression made the whole US military small and ranking with many small countries in Europe. So at the beginning of WW2 the USMC issued straights
