    Welcome to SRP. Your Grandfather's cutting tool bears a resemblance to an old style carpet layer's or linoleum knife with the tip broken off. At least that is what it reminds me of. Carpet knives were made that way before the advent of replaceable slotted DE blades. I've never seen a razor that looked like that.
