Exactly. I use the same method to clean ivory scales as other scales - dish soap, a toothbrush, and warm (not hot) running water. This method and some patience will get them totally clean inside and out.
To buff out surface scratches in ivory scales, I use Maas, my finger, and patience. Then I clean them again with soap, warm water, and a toothbrush to remove any Maas residue.

So Maas is safe on Ivory? I might not use it if I don't have to, but its good to know that it is.

Thanked: 190MAAS should work on Ivory. Just follow the directions.
This looks like a nice TLC project.
Good Luck!

Could be a TLC project. Depends on the shave. I am currently debating extending my 7 razor limit to 14. If i decide to keep it at 7 its got quite a competition to go through. I just sold a Leader... and as an English blade the cards are already stacked lol. So far my best shave are off of the smaller Solingens....
