McQueen?
So I grabbed this sucker so cheap it doesn't matter if she's good or not. However, please provide any info you can. All the tang says is "McQueen". Scales are ivory, and do not have the washers, just pins, so I believe they are original. Wedge looks to be metal, I want to say silver because of dark tarnish and the ivory, but could be nickel. Blade looks to be a quarter hollow. One downside is the ivory has a slight crack at the wedge, but the scales are still nice and tight.
Sorry about the pics. My family is out of town (no one to borrow a camera from) and scanning only works well on flat things. Sooooo I used my laptop's webcam, which apparently does not focus too well close up.

Also, inside the scales at the pin is dirty, the crack is dirty, and the area around the tang pin is dirty. JoeD suggested a white eraser to rub them off, but inside would be hard. Any thoughts on cleaning ivory?

Thanked: 235Should be easy enough to buy a cheap eraser and cut it down to size to fit between the scales. Infact I'm going to try this.

Like I said I can't help the pictures...
I either need info on the name, or how to clean ivory. You can see a black ring that looks like (but isn't) a washer on the pivot pin, and the crack is slightly black.

We often clean razors with just plain soap and water, use a soft toothbrush on the outsides and a rag or washcloth to get inside the scales. Just don't soak them in water if you believe they are ivory, they could get damaged. Pipe cleaners also work well to get inside the scales

I'm sure they're ivory... look how dainty they are. They also have an oval grain, and feel oh so buttery smooth... what a good feel...

Sounds like they most likely are ivory. I would stick to a soft cloth and just soap and water to clean them,

There is a wealth of information on the net on ivory. Try a google search. You won't be sorry.
