I do lay it on a towel or other absorbent cloth in between lathering and shaving. I don't have a problem with water dripping in to the tang unless I am doing my shave while bathing/showering. I prefer to use my straight after I finish bathing/showering so I am not exposing the razor to excessive water contact

I don't think my honey will ever get the nerve to do it herself.(actually, if she finds out that I have been talking to woman folk in such detail, she may decide to shave me with something bigger than a straight)But this works for us this way, she thinks my razor is S#xy

I knew this post might afford me some fun and SRP did not let me down
But I am pleased you weighed in on this cause it is a problem for me and have never had a stainless razor. I think the Dovo is a sexy looking piece for the price.
