You outsniped me here! Seems a nice blade. I think it is a nice razor. I have wondered whether it might have a slightly frowning edgde, hard to see.

Dorko
Gentlemen,
This is the first I have heard of a Dorko straight razor. Can one of you experts shed light on its history?
I think that is a good looking razor.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 953you got it Kees! slightly frowning edge. and some honewear (to be expected). But it's in nice shape otherwise (to my not particulary expert eyes). Looks like I'll be spending some time with my tape and shapton 1k trying to even out the edge.
Still wondering if the blade had little bit of edge removed (the round point doesn't seem to finish the semicircle. But for the price this will be fun.Last edited by loueedacat; 08-31-2009 at 03:07 PM.

Loueedacat that the razor there is nothing that you want to mess around with and you should dispose of it immediately. No worries though, being an SRP brother I'm willing to help out and take it off your hands for proper disposal. I'll even send you what you paid for it plus a few bucks for shipping! :-D
Hey great score! Those scales are something to behold. It should be a very smooth shaver. Congrats!

Thanked: 953it's really nice looking in person, and it's weighted beautifully. just feels great in the hand. And even the pivot tension is still great. and the blackness looks like it will come right off with a little maas, but we'll see.
so just unfrowning ahead of me and hopefully a dreamy shaving experience!
