Anybody heard about them? Are they good? (H.H. Hill & Rennak)
Picked up two str8s today. Both are German made. The first is a H.H. Hill (Solingen, Germany), it says "Maestro" on the other side.
The other one says "Rennak" and the number 401, and Germany on the other side.
Are they any good brands?? I have never heard of either of them.
Please, let me know.

I didn't hear such brands. May be, some razors pictures would be help.

Thanked: 4942Pics would be good. I have seen the 401 blade in some older Henckels and they were killer shavers. Very delicate blades. Wonder if this is the same.
Thanks,
Lynn

Vintage German razors are usually a safe bet. I would not worry just because the brands may be unfamiliar.

Thanked: 4942Did you just pick up the Maestro on eBay?? It looked like a nice razor and at $15 was a good deal.

Thanked: 735The names usually don't mean so very much, as it would appear that many razors were brand-named for individual vendors, but were manufactured by the bigger companies.
If it is vintage, and made in Solingen, don't sweat the name on the tang. If it's in good shape, get it.
