Got my first Wapi!
I just picked up a NOS Wapi2 on eBay for $39. It was advertized as shave ready, and being the skeptic I am, I just figured "wait and see". It arrived in the mail last night. I opened it up and it looked perfect. I stropped it up this morning and was delighted to find it shaved quite nicely! It looks like a surgical instrument with the stainless steel scales. I put it in my rotation and it will probably become my travel razor whenever I hit the road for 0vernight gigs with the band. Why did I call it my first Wapi? Probably because I will be looking for more. Somebody stop me!

Wapi or Wapi II? I think I sold that to you! ...if so, never doubt the claim of an SRP brother! :-)
In any case glad to hear you're getting a good shave from it. Wapis were great starter razors for me and unless you have horsehair on your face like I do, it's a good everyday blade for the rotation.

Congratulations on a great little razor. I bough my first Wapi to practice honing, because it was so cheap. I very quickly said to myself, "Do I want to take the chance on screwing this up? Naaah!"

If I did buy it from you, your ebay seller name gave me no clue you were a member of this forum. I added you to my favorite seller list. Your eBay ad said you had a handful and would auction them one at a time. I will surely bid again. I'd like to get my brother started with straight razor shaving and it would make a nice Christmas gift.

Wapis are super, I got one off the invisible edge and until it arrived and I had the chance to shave with it, I was skeptical due to its cheap price tag. Well these cheap little razors will outshave razors far more expensive!
I had it rescaled in some Dovo bocote wood scales, as I found the steel ones too heavy and ruined its balance. Now its even better!

I got also a Wapi and a Wapi II from the invisibleedge, both of them NOS and shave-ready. I have not used the Wapi yet and am thinking of re-scaling it. I did use the Wapi II for a short while but found that a different grind of blade suits me better.
