Default The Hart Steel Razor - Made in the USA!

    Gentlemen (and Ladies!),
I have had the honour to have a prototype of this new production straight razor, made in the USA, in my hands for the last four months. It has been something of a trial to keep quiet about it, but now I have permission to let the cat out of the bag! Forgive me for not attempting to format the review again for each shaving forum, this link should work just fine! It really is a fine razor and since it is made in North America I think it will become very popular.

What's the price tag going to be?

These look interesting. They are not available that I could find on the vendor site named in your link. Do you know when they will be available and the price?

Good question - I should have included that. I believe they are aiming for a price about $200US, though I can't find the e-mail that gave me that impression at present. I'll ask Will at Classic Shaving.

I think I wrote in the review that they will be available for sale at Classic Shaving at the end of next week, and the Hart Steel website will be up sometime next week.

Thanks Dr Chris, that is very nice. I like the photos of the production version a lot. I prefer a sway back and a slightly smiling blade. The scales look a lot like what Tim Zowada has been doing lately. When Classic finally lists them on their site I will undoubtedly be trying one out myself.

You did give the timing for the website, etc. I got ahead of myself. It's good to see US production. Guess I got excited. Thanks for the photos and description.

Thanks for posting this, Dr. Moss. This is nice to see. The resurgence in straight razors is refreshing.

Maybe Kingfish is right... we've become a movement instead of a hobby.

For now I'm closing this thread guys. Now we now what they are and where they are and its basically an ad anyway. Whoever buys can do a review on the review forums. I don't want this to turn into a hundred post thread about wow a new razor lets all buy one.
