I've seen quite many Russian razors for sale at the second-hand/antique stores in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Very cheaply. Ignored this far as i've been mostly looking for German razors. Shame on me. Have to take another check next time i'll visit there.

Спасибо! I have a few matters to take care of, like Christmas shopping and getting a couple of my present stable honed, before I can indulge the RAD, but I may start looking out for a Russian razor next year.

I was hunting threads on Russian razors, saw this, and was reminded of one of the tongue-twisters my students stumped me with:

    потполковниковиот потполковник

    ("potpolkovnikoviot potpolkovnik")

They said it (and even wrote it, I think) as if were one word, and they told me it meant something like "the under-general under the under-general". I can say it now, but it took a little while, especially since I was new here and they only gave me the Cyrillics, heh.

They did this because I had given them "The Leith police dismisseth us".

So that's the Russian, right? The version I wrote is Macedonian.
Must be like the -ise/-ize difference in English.
