What a super estate sale find! As noted above, a rare find and a steal at that price. If it's shaving to your expectations there is no need to 'get a tune up'. Clean it up w/ soap and water with an old tooth brush and you will be just fine.
Aren't local finds just GREAT!!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Thanked: 137And here we have reason #27 why I wish I lived in the USA - we don't have many estate sales here, and even fewer of those sell straights. Ditto junk stores.

Estate Sale Find . . . Help
My dear Tolly,
Even to a straight razor pilgrim as I, that razor is a charmer. A great find at a great price. Well done.

Here's the low down- if Glen is serious about his free honing offer, take him up on it. I guarantee you he'll put one of the best edge possible on it.
More low down- For someone ultra concerned about steels- I'm pretty sure that is 440c stainless lol. And I'm pretty sure you'll find out it shaves great- DD's are notorious for being superb shavers. And I'm pretty sure with your interest so far, you will end up spending way more money than you want to, because you will surely get RAD like we all did lol...
