I was watching that one and the square point.

Looks very nice but a bit over my budget. There were some old used ones that went or about £14, wish I'd got one now.
Anyways, I've got a 6/8 TI SRP LE today from Steelforge on here.
Hopefully (Royal Snail considering) I should get it soon.
Yes It is a round point NOS! But its not the item# you were watching. I wish it was a little over 100. It was a lot over 100. It was a very tough decision for me. Things are tight and i already bought some vintage razors. I figured if i can grab it now i should and bite the bullet. So i did. I will ignore the buiers remorse. Cant wait to get it.

Im very happy seeing that its 100% Filarmonica!

Still times are hard and maybe one day one will come up again at a nice price.

    Default The great debate

    I'll tell ya, I own 5 Fili's (4 different models, I have 2 #12's) and 3 Dovo's.

You can see my Fili's here:

    http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...armonicas.html

I also own a Dovo Bismarck spike point with bone scales, a standard Bismarck with red scales, and a "Prima Klang".

For me, The Fili's win, but I am also happy with my Dovo's ... I guess it just comes down to what you like in a razor.

In the end, the final answer lies with YOU ... you have to find out for yourself!

    I know this probably doesn't help, but I thought I'd add my .02 !!!

Yeah too many generalizations here. Dovos and other solingens are great. Filis and solingens each have their followings. Not sure you can really say one is better, just whether you prefer one over the other.

I'm right now madly in love with a 7/8s ATOR (an ERN brand) and like it far more than my classic shaving filly. That will likely change next week or next month or whatever.

I have a NOS Fily 13 coming from Argentina, because I believe in thorough research.

Some lucky guy snagged this one for $87 shipped.

This thread helps me out; with a Filly 13, I can pass on Dovos for now and maybe look at trying a Wacker or Henckels next.
