supply and demand may be best describes it. The fact that they are so hyped(and rightfully so) also helps.

Bit of stropping should sort that out.

That thing is practically mint. I know that a Filly is outside of my price range right now, so hopefully I can snag a Puma now that everyone is occupied elsewhere.

I think that that may require a more expert honemeister than myself to get that legendary Fili edge on it, so I'll leave it someone else. I'm going for this bad boy instead. It's got a little bit of hone wear, but I'm sure that I'll be able to live with it.

HAHA, I saw those. What a bargain at only $99 too. Try to find a new one for that. As long as you don't mind possibly losing an eye, or using your razor for shaving and as a toothpick.

First thing I thought was it would be good at trimming nose hair, but may make your eyes water if you slipped...

I bet they would work wonders on ear hair too. As long as you don't mind going deaf.

I have two Filarmonica #13s (mine are both 13/16ths). I don't own a current production Dovo, but I do have a Fritz Bracht era 13/16ths Dovo that is just as good as the Filarmonica's.
But there are lots of variables, mostly having to do with the user's skill in shaving and honing.
Filarmonicas are excellent shavers, there is no doubt.
