I might be biased, but Filarmonica is the best razor I've tried, while Dovo is not a match-up for the Spanish brand.
Let the showdown begin!

Thanked: 199I haven't tried the Fili's yet, but they have to be much better than Dovo's from what everyone says

I think we can all agree that Fillys are better. The real issue here (and I am curious about it too) is how much better. I would really like some input on the difference in shave quality rather than a simple which is better answer.
Thanks guys
Drew

Thanked: 17As I wrote in one of my posts since I have fili ( perfectly honed by Bruno from Vintage Scent) my dovo special and Bismarck stay in the draw.Unfortunately for you mate the prices are crazy now always over 150 bucks.
How much better? It almost passed 24 hours since my last shave with filli- most difficult area xchin is very slightly rough, after Bismarck the roughness would be very remarkable.Last edited by mojka; 10-26-2009 at 06:36 PM.

Thanked: 2591that's so individual you can't even put a finger on it..
For me the #13 I now have is waaay ahead of the Dovo I owned, and I honed the Filly myself, and I have ways to go to achieve a perfect edge. The Dovo came prehoned and it still did not shave as well as my #13, or the LeGrelot or the Spartacus. Its IMHO the steel quality rather than the honing service. My TIs are made from historic steel.
As far as Filly vs TI, that's imo 50/50 depending on who likes what. I like my Ti's just as much as I like my Filly.Stefan

Thanks guys! That was definitely much more helpful. I will keep my eyes peeled (along with everyone else) for a good deal.
Any word on how the Fillys compare to the old Pumas? I know they are both said to be some of the best production razors ever made.
