Must be a bidding war between two stubborn people.I love being the seller when that happens. It's restored, but not original.Me being a traditionalist,I don't like the extra pinwheels and microfasteners, but I'm sure there are plenty of folks who do.

Thanked: 199+1 to aroliver
Happy for the seller, but DANG! Sorry, but there are much better razors you could get for a LOT less money...couple of collectors that are insane, more than likely

Thanked: 151That's sickening. I love that razor in terms of the model because I had one that gave an out of this world shave, in fact I sold it to a new guy for that reason.

I saw that too. I need one for my Duck Collection, but it's not original, and too rich for my blood. Whoever it is, They only have 5 ebay purchases, which makes me think, he's relatively new, and has money to burn....

the pain
I sold one identical to that razor 6 or 7 years ago on E-bay and I was pleased to get $87.00 out of it and it was just minty. I was fairly new to straight razor shaving at the time and the thing was so sharp it terrified me...I sold it before it hurt me. Oh well, I could go on and on about what a dummy I am.

The guy did do a nice job of cleaning it up but my preference would be for a razor in original condition even if it was a bit grungy. One way or the other that one has gone way over what it might be worth by a long shot.
Pet peeve.... I put stuff up for sale on ebay and never get a bidding war. Not razors but cool bikes, parts, pocket knives and what have you. I get one or two bidders competing in minimum increments if at all.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
