I used to use a philishave every morning which tidied me up a bit but was a chore, now I scrape a piece of sharpened steel across my face and enjoy the experience - I must be a masochist.

Sadly that mind set is so common. When I mentioned at work that I had started shaving with a str8 the guys general response was similar to "huH" (the capital H at the end is the raise in volume at the end you sometimes hear). Then the "why the hell would you want....." and the "F that" and the ..... you get the idea.

I can't wait for tomorrow morning so I can scrape sharpened steel over my face. After using my fancy new gizmo called a strop.

that is def a funny add!........its funny using a strop now i remember my old man sitting in his chair with an old leather belt looped through the buckle to hold tight around his shoe and have the other end stroping my mothers kitchen knives after he got done using the sharpening stones on them..always thought he was just trying to polish the blade and get the finger prints off...even my old man had one of them home made gizmos
