    Cool

Just be sure and don't go to Max's site.

    This fall I have bought:

    Three Shapton Glass Stones: 1k 4k 8k
    Nayakama Kiita
Tony Miller 4 Sided Paddle Strop
    DMT 600 grit lapping Plate
    Damascus Japanese Straight
    RW Custom
    And Paid for Two Restos.

Thats not including the 8 brushes and 45 different Soaps and Creams I got while I was using a DE. Is it worth it? Yes.

Straight Razors are a better investment than single malt scotch. You dont pee them out!

At the start of my RAD, I decided not to keep an itemized record of my razors and razor paraphernalia. My reasoning, if I looked at how much I spend on this stuff I would get depressed and cry.

My cure for depression is to purchase razors and razor paraphernalia.

    Now, I'm off to Ebay

You can definitely tell who doesn't have kids around here, or at least kids that don't live at home anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I've spent more than my share this year, just not nearly as much as some....

    I've spent ~$450 on ebay.

    ~$125 on amazon

    $60 here

    and

    ~$115 elsewhere

    In the past month.

To be fair, about 3/5 of that is on hones, some of which will get use on my knives. And I'm counting the camera I bought to take pics (as well as for other purposes) in there. But still... the first step is to admit that you are powerless over razors.

I absolutely REFUSE to think about how much I spend. That's why I leave it all up to my wife...when she comes and says, "OK, that's enough for now", I know it's time to slow down.

    A little.

For a a couple of weeks, anyway.
