    Default I'm Ian, and I'm a razorholic...

I just looked at my CC bill.

    I've spent ~$450 on ebay.

    ~$125 on amazon

    $60 here

    and

    ~$115 elsewhere

    In the past month.

To be fair, about 3/5 of that is on hones, some of which will get use on my knives. And I'm counting the camera I bought to take pics (as well as for other purposes) in there. But still... the first step is to admit that you are powerless over razors.

The step reads I am powerless over (drug of choice) and it is making my life unmanageable . Once you find that to be the case you can go on to step two or wait until the shoe fits tighter. IME

My life was pretty poorly managed before, so how can I tell?

You'll know it when it happens.

I feel your pain. I'm a college student and although I haven't spent quite that much, it sure isn't for lack of trying.

The above proves you're still in the early stages of addiction.

Next step is you no longer look at your CC bill. After that you no longer get a CC bill but letters from debt collecting agencies. As soon as that happens you're welcome to join Straight Shavers Anonymous.

I've only spent half that... thanks for enabling me as well as giving me something to achieve! In any case, at least we are doing are part for the economy (razor economics?).

    Gentlemen,

How obsessed you are with all this razor stuff. All the money spent.

You can pick up a plastic razor and a can of shave cream for almost nothing and be done with. But, no, your Lordships have to spend a fortune on razors.

There's just no hope for the obsessed. It's too late for all of you. Well, I've said all I'm going to say about that.

I have to go now. I saw this Wacker 7/8" I'm dying to have. There's enough money in the bank account. I've also wanted to try this new soap. I have a dozen soap pucks and six tubs of shave cream. One more won't hurt, I guess, especially since I've been dying to try it.

While we're at it, I want to order another bottle of Truefitt & Hill's Spanish Leather. Last I checked, I had three bottle of it in the stash. I suppose I could use another one — just in case.

I think I need a new strop, too. I have three, but one more won't hurt — you never know.

And this other razor I'm dying to have . . . It's a Thiers-Issard. It deserve an Oscar. I must have it. I mean I must!

I have to go now and order a few things.

    Goodbye.

    Obie
