As the previous posters have said it doesn't look too deep and it is pretty far back.I would want to remove it. If it wasn't ground out I would be afraid that it would travel. Stropping might put enough pressure on it to make it worse.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

use course stone and breadknifing will take less then 10 minutes you are done. Only for the heal where is the small crack.gl

good thing I basically never use the heel to shave with so far so good ;p
but it's not that safe, so you could hone it out

That's an easy repair. Follow Shams advice & breadknife the heel.
Make sure you go back & forth. If you go side to side, the crack will likely creep!
Oh, & those are some great salvage jobs fellas!
